What is SomPay QR?

SomPay QR is an intermediate utility app for merchants in Somalia. It generates universal QR codes that customers can scan. When scanned, it automatically triggers the customer's native mobile wallet (like EVC Plus or ZAAD) to complete a USSD transaction.

Does SomPay charge transaction fees?

No. SomPay charges absolutely zero transaction fees. We are not a wallet and we do not process the money. We simply route the transaction details to the carrier's USSD system, which may apply their own standard network charges.

Is my money safe?

Yes, because SomPay never touches it. SomPay acts purely as a barcode scanner and generator. The actual financial transaction happens directly between the customer's SIM card and the mobile network operator.

Which wallets are supported?

SomPay currently generates compatible QR routing for EVC Plus, ZAAD, eDahab, WAAFI, Sahal, SomNet, and Premier Wallet.
